Drink 8 Glasses of Water: Fact or Fiction

Water is the most important beverage any given time of the day. We have all heard about how much water should we drink the quantity, the timings everything. The most heard of is the advice to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day in order to meet your hydration goals. That sums up to half a gallon of water. (2 litres).
Having 8 glasses of water in a day was recommended in order to achieve basic hydration needs for a general population across both the spectrums, from people who have too much water to people who are not consuming enough water.
Consumption of water is extremely crucial not only to keep you well hydrated, but also for various important functions that water is vital for. The regulation of body temperature, carrying our various internal metabolic processing, moistening of the eyes, nose and mouth, transporting nutrients and oxygen in the body, lubricating joints and also flushing out waste products.
If your water intake is low it may not only lead to dehydration but result in varying degrees of adverse effects that can be extremely dangerous health effects. Minor symptoms of lower fluid intake include fatigue, headache and paleness and dryness of the skin.
However, to conclude there is no such strict rule or scientific evidence that eight glasses of water would suffice. Hydration needs are more instinctive and must be a simple response to thirst.
